This company provides a simple smartphone app to office and apartment buildings front desk to help manage all the packages delivered to each employee or individuals. This process requires dealing with shipping label pictures uploaded to the system by users that include information such as Recipient name, Company name, address etc. The real challenge is that all this data has to be transcribed immediately after it arrives and this is done with human intervention which requires Backend data entry operators. Hence, this process requires a lot of effort and takes up a lot of time and money. For instance, manpower is a crucial necessity because labels cannot be transcribed automatically as they arrive. This requires the team members to constantly sit in front of the pc and transcribe the data from images as soon as they receive it.
The Solution
Worktrooper took this problem into consideration. In the first place, they came up with the idea of providing our client with 6 qualified team members to transcribe the data manually every day in different shifts. The team has been given access to website backend system where they transcribe the images using the built-in UI. Subsequently, each team member has been trained to complete a target number of transcriptions per hour. The key is to keep the target per hour into consideration and work towards helping the clients continue with their shipment label transcriptions.
Results
This gives the company the chance to actually focus on more important things rather than training new members and hiring them. As a result, costs have been cut down by 27% since the usage of this operation. Additionally, the team of 6 agents is transcribing more than 2400 images per day. Therefore, users are getting served 5 times faster than before. Our client have direct access to each team member as a result communication is seamless and everyone is a team player. This further benefited the company into growing and developing in other areas as well.
